James Petery of Oakridge and Raintree Apartments oversees the maintenance of 48 elderly/disabled units in Williamsburg, Kentucky. James is the recipient of both the State and National Maintenance Person of the Year awarded by the USDA Rural Development state and national office. He was honored recently with this prestigious award.
For those of you whom have the fortune of knowing James, you know he is a well deserving recipient of this prestigious award. Below are excerpts from his nomination:
“James has been employed by GEM management for 22+ years. James continually receives excellent scores on his RD and Kentucky Housing audits. Both the residents and local officials recommended James for this award not only for the stellar job he performs at the property, but that he is a pillar in the community.”
Marilyn Huddleston of Wood Lane Apartments a 24 unit elderly/disabled property located in Greensburg, Kentucky was awarded Site Manager of the Year for the State of Kentucky awarded by the USDA Rural Development state office. She was honored recently with this prestigious award.

“Marilyn has been with GEM for 16+ years. She receives excellent audit results from both RD and Kentucky Housing. Her residents applaud her for her continued commitment to go above and beyond for them. She received several letters from the community and residents supporting her nomination and many noted her sense of community is outstanding. In addition, Marilyn has forged relationships throughout the community that officials say have produced lasting relationships and prosperity for Greensburg. Her grounds are always immaculate and the property is seen by the residents as a serene and quiet haven, they get to call home.”
